That Was What We Called: REFRESHING.

August 08th, 2007—Papa Momo Birthday.

My room [01:05],

People...

Yesterday was a perfect refreshing I’d ever done from the moment I entered this university. That was the first time in these completely crazy-hectic-exhausting campus activities. My friends and I seemed to forget everything that might lead us to a word called: study. *Dari sejak jadi MaBa sampe mau ada MaBa lagi, kemarenlah refreshing paling HEBAT yang pernah gw lakukan bersama anak-anak gila itu!* [red: Hepi, Radhi, Shamin, Andra, Widii, Bhas, Alia, Ichall, Agil].

First, we went to Balairung—waiting for Shamin to come [yang punya hajatan malah baru bangun, set dah...]—to see the ‘daftar ulang maba’. And guess what! We saw Bams was selling JCo there! [Kapan lagi, liat si Bams jualan JCo?!]. When Hepi and I were sitting under a big tree to rest, suddenly I felt the air was cool, and when I look over to my left: there, sat alone, Khilmu—coolest guys in FEUI—who was staring at the crowd . *Pantes aja gw ngerasa dingin sesaat, ada si Cool itu! Hahaha*

Having been called by Shamin, Andra told the gank to back to FE and exactly on 11:00, we headed to Blitz Megaplex. On our way there, Alia called and told us that she wanted to join us; she would be waiting at Thamrin. Phew, there was a big fire at Jembatan 3 that made Tol Dalam Kota brilliantly crowded! Luckily, I was on a Andra’s car fulfilled by those crazy people which made that waiting became so great by their HODOB conversations, ridiculous statements, unimaginable-crazy plans, stupid guessing, and mostly: ‘healthy’ GOSSIPS. Though, our journey contained few trivial conversations: the gank talked about He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named or He-Whose-Name-Can-Not-Be-Spelled or whatever we called him—them, actually. Bhas often pointed some people in the street and said that they look like them—They-Who-Must-Not-Be-Mentioned-In-Front-Of-Icha and the gank laughed at me a lot when my mood suddenly being destroyed [Damn, you mentioned the wrong person on the the wrong time!]. Whoa... However, thanked God, I was with them.

We arrived at Thamrin on 12:30, but Alia had not been seen there. So we decided to have lunch nearby, and our choices came to Warung behind Plaza Indonesia. Alia joined us after we finished our lunch.

Having been fully fueled, we headed to Blitz and I started shivering from the moment I entered the cinema—I did have to watch ALONE, damn... I wished I hadn’t been there that time. I wished Nabir and Roy had been with me that time so I could enjoy the horror, the terror of our fears—at least TOGETHER. Hiks... Otherwise, I was the only one who looked terrified. I thought about spending my time inside the studio by texting anyone who had willingness texting with me—but my two cell phones had no signals. Oh, damn! I evn thought about taking a nap but that kind of atmosphere was not allowed me to do it—at all.

Therefore, I put my bag on my arms and held it as my eyes’ tall and, indeed, I didn’t see any significant scene at all. *Thanks to Agil who made me calm every time I was thrilled by the awful backsound and the abnormal tense* At the end, I only saw my friends’ expression every time the scary scene appeared.. Phew. It was still great experience after all, finding out that many of the gank showed their fear as much as I did. Hhh, they were just ashamed to confesst it. C! L!

We came out from the studio at 4:30 and the gank still talked about the movie on and on. C! Andra and I enjoyed the view from Blitz’s hug windows and took its picture. Whew, beautiful! And then that sudden-brilliant idea came out: going to Monas.

We arrived at Monas on 5:00 pm. Andra and Bhas grabbed my hand right away and led me to a kite-seller. Yeah, as usual, they wanted me to bargain it for them. We bought three biggest kites sold there. Radhi was the best kite-flyer from all; he only needed few seconds to fly it high. Ichall did the same, but the last kite was terrible—it wasn’t flying at all, K! Hahahaha.

The moment when I was walking in that road—heading to the monument; I awkwardly felt an amusement that I had been looking for so long: this was a truly refreshing! As you know, I never like crowded-hedonist place [halah] such as mall, cafe, etc. I’d better commit a suicide rather than shopping at the mall or even drifting there. L! Moreover, place like Monas was the exact place to be.

Hepi and I had an intention to go to the top of the monument but when we arrived at the North gate, it had been close. Huuwh. Waiting for the others reach the gate, I spent a while sat with Hepi and talked about the ‘blacklisted’ thing. *Phew, I felt so relief to share it with her* And being unable to go to the top of the monument, the gank and I spent the rest of our time by BEING NARSIS. Yeah, baby! We took many pictures there. *Fantastic, guys! All eyes on us! Now, you know how it feels to be center of attention* Hahaha. We finished the partial-NPD [Narsistic Personality Disorder] syndrome at Maghreb time.

Whoaaaaaa...RELIEF. HAPPY. AMAZED. AND EXCITED! [Kampungan abis... Saking nggak pernah seneng-seneng kaya gitu, hahaha] We left Monas at seven and we had our dinner at Alia’s house.

What a wonderful world with you all in there, guys...

Together We’re Truly Invincible!

*Deg-degan nii, nanti perdana nyoblos! [Radhi Mode: ON]*

May the force be with you, guys.

Notes:

*Bams di sini adalah temen gw yang bener-bener mirip sama Bams Samsons.

**Khilmu di sini bener-bener nyata. Bukan imajinasi semata.

***He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named di sini bukan Lord Voldemort, it did—does—refer to a real person[s].
